I dont know anything about that scope, but it appears as if it is both thermal and IR? Did you use an IR illuminator? If so, the light can damage your eyes even though its invisible to us. Maybe it was shining on the blind, or a tree or something and reflecting back? The good ones are...

I havent killed many in the last few years, but I used to make and sell a digital nightvision scope and killed a lot for "research" haha. I think this was the biggest, though we didnt weigh him. He was bigger than my next largest that went 316lb
