Alternatives to wired transfers of money

I think USAA Bank charged me $40. Very smooth. They did like to spell everything phonetically, must be the military influence I guess. Pretty impressed the young sounding lady knew the alphabet so well.

Rigby Unveils Exclusive 250th Anniversary Edition Rifles

They are better than ever. Probably just my aged eyes, but my new Highland Stalker in .308 that I purchased at DSC is a stunning piece. Mentioning it as a comparison to my other Rigbys which are beautiful, but either I got very lucky with this new rifle’s furniture, or Rigby upped their game a...

    Retired - Now What?

Excellent topic! I don’t know if TED Talks are a thing anymore, and I found 90+% of them to be utterly ridiculous. But two were presented on this exact topic, one by a man, the other by a woman. Both said that retirement will happen in stages. The first…”Woo hoo, I’m on permanent vacation!”...

What stocks are you trading today

What a sweetie in the last picture. Every tough guy dad’s heart melts when it comes to their daughters. Mine’s in college, and she was about her age like last week. They grow so fast, so enjoy every minute you have with her!

A-Frame or Scirocco for mixed bag

Oh yes, and they’re just as engaging at the DSC and SCI Conventions.

Why is it that when it comes to the big British Gun Makers, Rigby are the only brand that offers "affordable" models?

Sorry about commenting on this old thread. This soon might be interesting again, with the DSC and SCI conventions coming up. One minor anecdote… I was in Purdey’s Long Room ordering an O/U shotgun. In the course of the discussion, their representative showed me one of their completed rifles...

A-Frame or Scirocco for mixed bag

Well, you made an informed choice, so that’s good. You’re light years ahead of me back when I was trying to get smart on bullets and believing all of the marketing bullcrap from Hornady and Berger. So yes, the bullet to use…..Swift.

    .308 Deer Ammo

I think Cabela’s might be clearing out their Federal Premium .308 cartridges in Swift Scirocco II bullets. After Christmas, marked down like $12 or something…$47.98 from $59.99. Knowing Cabelas, that markdown might just put it in line with other sellers, don’t know. Either way, I think...

    6.5x55 sweed

Nice! And if anyone’s interested in a Mauser M12 Swede, I can report that it shoots nuts on. What a cartridge, I never knew.

    .308 Deer Ammo

Looks like you guys know what you’re doing with those bullets. Good work. Anybody want some boxes of Federal/Berger 165? “Hybrid Hunter” of course. What a joke.

    Any Parkwest Arms feedback?

.416 Rigby Bushveld here, and completely agree. NDWoods…. The Bushveld is lighter than some other guns, so the .416 Rigby round packs a punch. FWIW, I’ve got the Blaser R8 in .458 Lott with a steel receiver, and it weighs probably 3-4 pounds more than the Bushveld. Even with the R8’s weight...

    NRA thoughts

I hope this isn’t a land mine topic, and I’m just trying to collect my thoughts on the NRA currently. Oliver North disappeared abruptly from the NRA scene, and I think his Outdoor Channel show seemed to cease just as quickly. Wayne LaPierre stuck around for a while, and now he and his finely...
