Nice gun. Love that round. Have the old Swede Mauser, and also bought the Mauser M12 in the Swede, to have something modern to shoot the same round. That’s also a great shooter, for not a terrible amount of money. FWIW.

Saw where Jaqua’s in Findlay, Ohio has a Mauser M03 for sale in .458 Lott, I think for $4500. Kinda similar, I guess. FWIW.

Also don’t know why Blaser has never cut barrels for the .416 Rigby.

Have a PH and a BG, and can’t tell much, if any difference in stocks, they’re both very nice. I’m thinking your PH vs HS decision might revolve around caliber and weight? It’s been a few years, so I don’t know what’s current between them.

The only “wake up call” that matters is in the morning. Every day is a gift and blessing. Sure beats the alternative.

The TGS guy just released a new vid on a Blaser tour. Mostly about the R8 production line, but fascinating how well they do things. Wondering how much different the FBX will be compared to the F3, which is an exceptional shotgun.

That’s not true everywhere. People naturally gravitate toward brevity, and “O-5 and O-6” were used quite a bit to distinguish between Colonels. Air Force flying unit, definitely not “pencil pushers.” Maybe it was because per capita, there were more of us compared to other service branches...

Have two…. I think Mauser kept the quality up with them. Not a fan of the M18, and the M25 looks lower end as well(?). But, these are nicely made guns, I think. The barrels are press-fit though, so a big problem when a barrel has run its course.

Also looks like they just listed a Mauser M96 (1996) straight pull in 7 Rem Mag. Kinda cool.
