I unfortunately passed on a Savage SxS made from a Savage double shotgun in .444 years ago for $1000. I would have snagged it if it was in 45-70. Oh well.....

And you can load the 45-70 even hotter in a lever action (42,000psi?). Buffalo Bore has a 380 gr. mono-metal solid at 2075 fps. And Grizzly has a 405 hard cast at 2050fps. Throw in some CEB slugs and you've got something.

I've bought two .375s from them, and was very pleased. It appears that some of the firearms are stocked by guns.com, and others may be brokered. On the first purchase, I asked a question, and it was a couple of days before I got a response, but it was accurate. Also, shipping was rather slow...

Riflecrank, you need to make a .50 Alaskan in a No. 1. I'm sort of surprised at the .475 Linebaugh, a mere pistol cartridge.
