I just bought the newly released 1-8x version of the Trijicon Accupoint and have been very happy with it. I think it was $1200 all-in on Eurooptic. You can get the 1-6x Accupoint within your budget. Very happy with the amber triangle reticle

I have the new Trijicon Accupoint in 1-8x24, red triangle post tritium reticle on my 416 RM. I think they just released it this January. Feels like great eye relief. Used to have a Swarovski Z8 1-8 which was very nice but the 1-8 Trijicon seems very intuitive to me and is just as light.
