In South Africa where mostly PH’s work as independent contractors to outfitters, the rifles they work with and carry, and that are rented to clients, are owned by the PH and not the outfitter. In fact, a PH is normally not employable and won’t be used by an outfitter unless he comes with his own...

In South Africa most PH’s personally own the rifles we carry and rent to clients, i.e. not owned or supplied by the outfitter or government. We carry our own sidearms for the protection provided by the game scouts in other countries.

Forgive me for asking, this is an honest question, could you maybe please give some more explanation about why soft-soled shoes are more noisy walking in the veld? I can't honestly say I have ever noticed this or not, but if it is a thing I want to take note in future.

Does anyone maybe have a trick to stop Tempilaq going hard in the bottle once it has been opened and used ? I have a bottle of Tempilaq, bought it a year ago and used it once, wanted to use some again this morning and it has gone rock hard FFS.

@BeeMaa do you maybe know: if I mount my Aimpoint Micro on an EAW 19mm dovetail mount for the front dovetail of my CZ550 Magnum, will that mount be compatible with a standard Weaver dovetail on other rifles...
