A crimp is a good idea on straight wall just to help the powder burn more cleanly. There’s no reason not to.

I crimp all straight cased rounds. This helps the powder ignition and burning due to having no shoulder to build pressure in the case...

No reason to crimp unless you start seeing accuracy problems that could be related to pressure variances from bullet seating friction...
