    Full stock hunting rifles?

Hmm you're right; now I look at their website, the 404 isn't listed at all. I think maybe the 505 has replaced it?

    Full stock hunting rifles?

I'm a big fan of the stutzen style full stock as well. I've two CZs and a Mannlicher 1903 full stock. Ruger makes (or made) a full stock M77 and also Sauer make a 404 with a full stock.

    Kynamco powders

    Kynamco powders

I'm not familiar with Vithavuori but RL15 seems popular for the .470. Do you know what barrel length your buddys rifle had to produce that muzzle velocity?

    Kynamco powders

Cheers Tintin, yes I do have a copy of Graemes book. No luck on the BCH trip thus far as I moved to QLD. Maybe sometime I'll make it back up there but unfortunately it's unlikely to be this year with my work schedule.

    Kynamco powders

After 9 months of waiting, my Charles Lancaster boxlock double has finally arrived in the country. The rifle comes with two barrel sets chambered in .470 NE and .375 H&H, both regulated for modern Kynoch ammunition. As Kynamco has sadly gone into administration, I am left with the prospect of...

    Harare

Just check out the local restaurants, shops, markets etc. It will be more just to recover from the flight and pick up a couple of souvenirs. Looks like I'll be staying at Almanzi

    Harare

I've finally got around to planning my first African hunting trip next year to Zimbabwe; to help stave off jetlag, I figured I'd fly in 24-48hrs early and do a day in Johannesburg or Harare. From some preliminary research, Jo'burg appears to have several good museums/hunting shops/restaurants...

Permanently importing a rifle into Oz

I looked into the same for importing a rifle from the UK; all simple until you hit the Australian border. Basically you surrender the rifle along with your approved B709 to ABF at the airport, they take it for safety and compliance testing which takes weeks, the rifle can then be sent to a...

Do any of you invest in gold and silver, and if so, how?

Hi Foxi, Basically there are three ways to invest: Gold ETFs (paper gold) Gold mining company shares Physical gold ETFs track the price of gold and are easily bought or sold through a share trading account or similar. The downside is that you dont usually actually own any gold. Gold mining...

PETITION: Legalisation of hunting on public land in Queensland

For any Queenslanders on this forum, please consider signing this petition to the QLD state Government proposing the legalisation of hunting on public land. This would entail access to state forests in a similar model to the NSW R-licence. I am aware that previous attempts have been...
