They aren't cheap, but Pendleton makes the only safe I found that fit my needs. I can fit my 10.5' short barreled rifles to my 32' muskets. They customize it for both what you have and what you think you may have in the future.

I 100% agree with this. For some reason, many people who only shoot rifles, don't see the value in shotgun shooting. Growing up upland and dove hunting, I found transitioning to double rifles was a breeze. Exact same concept, just two bullets rather than shot.

I got into a 9.3x74R early in my big bore quest. I ended with a 450/400 in Africa, but I still have and love the 9.3.

I took a 450-400 Jeffery and .275 Rigby to Africa. I have a few other combos that would work well-Chapuis 9.3x74R, Steyr Mannlicher Schoenauer 30-06, and Bailey Bradshaw Rotary 7x57R.

As a Presbyterian (thereby Calvinist?) I struggled with how it can be both. I understand it now, and watch my young kids as they try to understand the concept as well. It's difficult to find a synonymous example to help them understand it.

I put slings on both my rifles. My double weighs 10.5 pounds. Whenever we were coming up on game in bushes, I took it off. If we were in open country, I just left it hanging on the rifle.
