    European Hunting Clothing

That's odd. They are showing when I click on them on both my iphone and laptop. Maybe it's the browser you are using?

    European Hunting Clothing

I made up a bastardization of American and European hunting attire. Harkila jacket, trabaldo pants, Dubarry Wexford boots, and an Orvis felt western style hunting fedora (the same one in my avatar). On the hunts I attended in Romania, some of the more well heeled wore British style coats and...

@Rimbaud. Yes sir, that was a great time and under unusual circumstances. I hope you are doing well!

    A question for British members

I don't recall many "Yanks" being too happy about the move either. :p

    A question for British members

That's very interesting! I didn't realize it was an application process. I thought that perhaps royalty purchased a product, liked it, and if they became repeat customers and established a relationship, they would decide to grant the company a warrant. Thank you for the information!

    A question for British members

Thank you! I'm glad that it does hold more weight than just the title factor.

Get experience first? Or, hunt dangerous game right away?

I jumped right in and did both. I can definitely see why some people recommend doing just plains game first. If I had to do it again, I would do it all again. If you've never hunted AT ALL before, then I would definitely say don't go right into dangerous game. If you have hunted and know you're...

    A question for British members

As your distant rebellious cousin, I don't care about the monarchy (because 1776) but I do love high quality products from England; Cumbria Crystal, Taylor's of Old Bond Street, Geo F. Trumpers, and of course the fine firearm makers. My question is, do companies who hold Royal Warrants mean...

Would you or have you hunted with an outfitter because of a “Hunting Celebrity” or Influencer?

An influencer might actually affect my decision NOT to go. I enjoy watching hunting videos, but prefer those on YouTube or other places that is a hunter just either filming their hunt or someone filming for them. In my admittedly somewhat limited experience, influencers bring drama and can't be...

SOUTH AFRICA: Zingela-Limpopo Safaris - How Poor Management Ruined An Otherwise Promising Safari

This was hard to read. Aside from the abysmal hunting experience, it must be heavy on your heart to know you unwittingly break your own code of ethics. I greatly admire your disdain for Communism. Sadly, even people who I believe do hate Communism are willing to do business with them to keep...

New vs vintage 450/400NE double rifle

I have a Jeffery 450/400 3" and have owned a Chapuis 450/400 as well. The Chapuis was a very nicely regulated rifle and I would not hesitate to take it to Africa. The gentleman I sold it to did just that and took a beautiful buffalo with it. Maybe I was just lucky, but I have not had regulation...

    Injecting rhinos with radioactive isotopes?!

Has anyone else seen this? This is the first I have heard of it but the article is nearly a year old. Is this already underway? https://www.pbs.org/newshour/amp/science/scientists-in-south-africa-make-rhino-horns-radioactive-to-help-anti-poaching-effort

Rigby PH or Parkwest 404 Jeffery?

I don't know anything about Parkwest. The Rigby has the history and just oozes Africa. I love your choice of caliber but curious why not a get a vintage Jeffery in 404 Jeffery?

    Lets see your journal

I don’t write as much as I’d like or should. I have a few notebook covers, but these two are my favorite. Easily holds moleskine notebooks. I prefer leather because I love the way it looks when it’s been worn in and aged.
