20” ish barrel with a suppressor on the end is the perfect setup. If the rifle is set up with a can in mind from the get go, then it is not a hindrance.

How sure are you that this rifle has been work on by a gunsmith? That’s what mine fed like to start before a lot of work reshaping the feed rails and ramp. You shouldn’t have to put much force at all. I bet your brass is scratched and gouged by the feed rails, especially the belt.

On mine it was within 0.2 MOA to 300 yards which is very usable for a hold over. Close at 400 but no way I’d hold over to shoot something with a 416 at 400 unless it was a follow up desperation shot.
