Letting some hot air out of Robert Ruark

Hunt anything - you are right as I had forgotten. Capstick was a fun writer. I have read all of his books and enjoy them. On Ruark, I read most of his books but found the last couple very dark and forebodiing. I never liked Hemingway but think that Ruark tried to be Hemingway and failed.

Letting some hot air out of Robert Ruark

He is a heck of a lot better than Boddington and many others that call themselves writers. First, he was not selling anything, no products, no used clothes or bullets. He was selling the story in book form. Second, virtually none of us will remotely experience what he experienced. At least he...

    Heym 88b ph model

George at Champlin is not very tech savvy.... He does know doubles. There are a lot out there right now, you just have to dig and look at a lot to find what you want.... Also, bring a lot of money.

    In the Market

I had a VC in that, very nice and under $22k. Most others get pretty pricy.

Rigby PH or Parkwest 404 Jeffery?

Also, the Swarovski Z8i scope on a DG rifle uses 30mm rings. The 5-40x56 uses 34mm rings. Also, Talley is the only ring I use. No issues, perfect everytime and great service. I have them on over 20 rifles and 5 big bores.

Rigby PH or Parkwest 404 Jeffery?

I have owned both and currently only have the Parkwest. Both are excellent. The Parkwest fits better and I was able to customize it a great deal. Delivery was less than a year. If they were equal prices, I would still pick Parkwest. It fits and I prefer the Model 70 look similar action to a full...

    Heym versus Rigby

Great question and questions. I have owned both and shot both. Rookhawk and Muskox have shared a lot of great info. I have found that what they have said is true. Let me add my "take". 1. Heym USA is a distributor of Heym guns. The flow of Heym rifles to the US is somewhat limited to keep...

    Ruger m77 accuracy issues

Rugers are known for toughness and durability, not extreme accuracy. Their RSM big bores are some of the best.

    1st african animal

Congrats! At 40 yds, that is pretty good on a blesbok. I will bet that bullet is still flying!

Talk me out of a Rigby Big Game 404J

You are very sick. Very very sick. You need a 12 step program. Step one - sell me your two Highland Stalkers. Step two - Take the money and buy Tesla stock. You will be very happy. Step three - Sell that stock and buy back those rifles. Step four - Take the profits and buy the .404 Jeff Big...

Be careful. Use an experience agent. Be ready for suprises. Crazy place. For giant sable, go to Zambia or a ranch in RSA.

    Fresh currency

Latest bills only. The Chinese and others have mastered couterfieting our older bills. No marks, no creases. Get as new as possible. BTW - the only tips that matter to the locals are cash tips. Don't insult them with knives or tshirts or leatherman tools. Cash speaks.

Push feed M70 xtr or new M77 Hawkeye GG?

My go to rifle is a M70 in .280 Rem push feed... Never any issues. I am not a Ruger fan except for the RSM.
