I have hunted extensively in Tanzania- note that many areas in western Tanzania are very remote and do require an expensive charter. Also, not all blocks in western Tanzania are game control areas- many are Game Reserves where people do not live or develop because of tsetses- its important to...
I load for the .318 WR. Using guidance from Phil Massero making 318 brass from 30-06 is very easy.
I didn't know about Quality Cartridge bullets and that option is encouraging. I have a stock of Woodleigh .330 bullets so I'm good for now. Hawk Bullets supposedly make 250 grain .330 bullets...
Check out Thor Kirchner in Zambia- he runs a great operation on the Luangwa River in Zambia. We hunted with him in 2019 with my family and had a great time.
Varget works for me- shoots small groups in 3 different 375s all with swift 300 A-Frames.
The 375 is and easy caliber to load I think my load was 67.5 grains of varget so right at 2500 fps- just go by the swift book.
Also have had good luck with IMR 4064 with Hornady RN bullets.
If Tanzania is still an option I would suggest the areas which border Tarangire National Park to the east i. e. Lolkisale G. C. A. and Masai Open Area West. These areas are good from July 1 to Mid August and then also in November and December after the short rains have started. Many buffalo...
Jason Stone operating in the Luangwa Valley of Zambia has done quite well lately as has Mike Fell in Maswa North Game Reserve in Tanzania.
Some of the blocks around Hwange NP in Zimbabwe can produce good ivory as well.
When Botswana properly opens there will be some great bulls hunted...

I encourage you to read Brian Hearne's books.
Robin Hurt is arguably the most famous of the last generation of the professional hunters from East Africa. The group of PHs that proceeded Hurt's generation included Donald Ker and Syd Downey then Harry Selby and Andrew Holmberg, Pat...
