    7x57 Load Development

Why not try the 160 Hammer or even one of their heavier bullets for the 7mm. Hammer are good bullets. Other options you might consider are the North Fork 175gr or the 156gr Norma Oryx. North Fork has theirs in stock and Raven Rock Precision has the 156gr Oryx in stock at a very good price. Both...

    9.3x62 Noob

Dang, like @PARA45 I don’t know how I missed this thread. First off, you have a great caliber designed to match your purpose. I would think you have worked out, some, if not all, your load development by now. But I am wondering, are you pretty much stuck with only Somchem powders. If so, how...

First Gun Purchase for new Hunter

I think the caliber that would be the most practical and beneficial for a beginner adult would be a 30-06. I like the Winchester M70, Blaser R8 and Sako’s for bolt actions and K95 and Ruger No.1’s for single shots.

    Blaser R8 experiment

I would try one of your other scope mount setups on the .375H&H to test first. I’ve never had an extraction nor ejection problem with my R8’s. I was out shooting my R8 .375 H&H yesterday. I use a Z8i 1-8x24 mounted to a standard Blaser rail mount on the .375H&H. I don’t recall ever noticing...

    Blaser R8 experiment

I am curious, which barrel(s) has this happened with and are you using the same type of mount and size and scope on each barrel.

Anyone have misfire issues Reloading for Blaser rifles

Sorry to hear Larry Willis has passed. I missed that on an earlier post. His resizing die is the best thing going for belted cases. It saved me a lot of money reserecting my 8mm Rem Mag and some other belted cases. If a belted case is giving you the slightest resistance in chambering you’re...

Anyone have misfire issues Reloading for Blaser rifles

I just had a similar experiance with my K95. With some of my freshly reloaded cartridges the action either wouldn’t lock up or was very difficult to lock up. My mistake was only checking the shoulder bump. Turns out the neck shoulder junction had grown just enough on some cases to cause the...

What new Ruger would you like to see in a limited special run?

    Ruger No.1 .300H&H, .375H&H, 8mm Rem Mag (but that won’t happen)

    A new plains game rifle

The .375H&H with 250gr bullets would be fine but personaly I prefer 300gr bullets for that caliber. The .300wm or 30-06 are probably the most practacle. The 9.3x62 is a great all rounder, especially with 250gr TTSX’s going 2500+fps, and it’s more synonymous with Africa. Tough decision

    Garden problems...

I, for one, would sacrifice a head of lettuce for a bunny or deer. If’n you have neighbors near by a 22 or 25 caliber air rifle may be the appropriate solution for your problem. I wonder what would Elmer say. ;)

    Rigby’s 250th Anniversary Celebration

Not many companies can boast and celebrate having a 250 year history. My hat is off to them for such a feat and for taking the time and spending the money for such an event.

    Fountain Pen Ink

I looked for it on Jet Pens but they do not list that color. I then looked up Wearingeul's website and found it. It seems to be a blended ink used for illustration. Is that the purpose you have in mind? I had not used a fountain pen, until these past couple of years, since high school. Also I...

    Any gin drinkers here?

I may have to try that since I have all of the ingredients in cupboard and garden. My wife is the Gin connoisseur. I like and keep in stock The Botanist, Hendricks and Nolet's. I never have cared for Scotch. I do like a good Rye Whiskey or Bourbon though. Teeling’s Single Grain Whiskey out of...
