Some of my mounts got ready, they look great.

Stop!! Mine are crated in ZA and have export permits issued. Just more of the waiting game. Great looking mounts.

    7mm Backcountry

I talked to the Federal Guys at SCI last year and the elevator pitch was its not targeted at the African Hunter primarily but mountain guys, new hunters, and people that want to shoot like the guys that they see on youtube(my take). I think its a cool technology and I want to see what happens...

Do you have your ideal rifle or are you still looking for it?

My gun collection is finished for now. Optics might need a bit of an upgrade but I could hunt the planet with what I have. .375 Model 70, and my .308 Q Fix covers the everything. I do want a Rigby Highland stalker but its like how I want a Porsche, I strive to get one someday but its not...

Suppressor, to cover or not to cover

I run covers on my suppresors when doing range work. The titanium blasted whatever finish on my Trash Panda does have a bit of reflection so I run a OD green one. Mostly just important when shooting my club "long range" matches. The mirage of 20 rounds in 20 minutes on my 16" Fix gets pretty...

Best factory 30-06 ammo for plains game

Another vote for Barnes TTSX in 180gr. Dropped a blue wildebeest, impala, and zebra in one shot. The only bullet recovered was from the wildebeest and the exit hole is from the impala.

    Waterfowl

Yes, but you don't mention the downsides of hunting with dogs. That look of utter disgust an upland dog gives you when you miss like, "I did my job buddy" or the soul crushing guilt when the duck retriever is vibrating to be let loose after the shot when you've missed and the dog look at you...

New Federal 7mm Backcountry “Ammunition Reinvented”

I want to see the technology come to .308 My fix with that tech would be an amazing world hunting gun.

What did you get yourself for Christmas?

Being laid off for half the year has been tough but I did buy myself a Delta Point Pro red dot for my Fix as my hunt the world small rifle.

What is the future of American hunters in SA

Like most travel, don't go stupid places with stupid places to do stupid things. Outside of major cities it seemed to me that everyone knew who the tourists are and really just left us alone. While you can't fully rely on it, my philosophy is even the baddest of bad guys have legit businesses...

    My Hunting Movie-

Getting mine filmed was the best idea ever and for my ADHD brain is a great way to remember a ton of stuff. I've got it on right now while browsing

    Thanks for the add

Shoot the buffalo first, I shot mine on the last day and did not get to eat it. The guys after me would have had a great time.

Is there a quad-stick in your future?

I practiced for my safari using my African Sporting Creations tripod sticks but when I got to Africa my PH has homemade quad sticks. The practice helped immenslefy but the quad sticks were rock steady and I was able to keep the gun on them when swinging to recenter when the animal moved a few...

Have you ever known a congenital liar?

I understand the emotion and there are some companies and people that do it to curry favor with the general public about how great they are, but a majority of the smaller places I have ever run into those signs for Vets or First Responders just want a way to give back to people that they respect...

Have you ever known a congenital liar?

There is a lot of grift to be made from the online fakers, and its a lot easier to buy a shirt that says EMT on it. The VA calls me a veteran (reserve 57E, aka nobody) and I am a paid call EMT. I will take a discount if they have a sign stating it or someone offers but some people make it a...

    Game Meat

Kudu lasagna was awesome, Eland sausages were the best and I wish we had a chance to eat buffalo steaks but no one shot one the week before I was there, though that can be confirmed or not by @franzfmdavis You eat what you or your camp shot or the week before usually.
