Won’t machining off the semi-circular excess, and leaving a flat bolt face, at least on the bottom, result in a gap in the barrel/bolt face area where the case is totally unsupported? It’s only a few millimeters, but maybe that’s too much?
Just thinking out loud, not pounding my fist on the table
I don’t like to make extraneous comments in a want ad, but I grew up about 70 miles from Grice Gun shop. Got to know them during their fledgling years.
See “Scoot Grice”.
It’s wonderful to see that they got so big and mighty that they could coerce their own special run of a wonderful little...
Is there a crack AND a scratch? The crack running horizontally and the scratch vertically, from the comb to the grip cap?
Or is it a “crosshair” shaped crack? Which I doubt.
Does the crack appear on the other (bolt) side of the stock?
Thank you
If I remember correctly, the 243 Winchester and the 244 Remington were conceived as much, or even more, as wind bucking varmint cartridges. In fact, the 244 was only loaded with a 75 and 90 grain bullet for a period of years. That was due mostly because of a slower twist, I believe 1-12...
I’m not sure “reporter” or “journalist” was ever the honorable profession the practitioners claim it was, but it was better than the laxative testers, horse inseminators they have become.
With a nod to ‘2 1/2 Men’.
Are the 2 Burris minis essentially rimfire scopes, one with a 50 yard parallax setting? Or literally centerfire models with weight and size reductions?
I think Burris may have made both variations at some point, but I’m entering the twilight zone of my memory function.
Maybe a No 1 RSI in 30/30 Win. That round is the pipsqueak visual duplicate of the 450/400. Where I came from in NW Pa., the 30/30 likely killed more deer than anything except harsh winters.
I didn’t mean to imply they were unsafe, but merely that I don’t see Ruger making even a limited run of something they abandoned 30 years ago. But Smith & Wesson is making more revolvers without the Hillary hole, so anything is possible.
I doubt the legal eagles would allow a tang safety to be made. Again.
Even thoughI don’t recall any issues with that safety mechanism, certainly not like the Remington 700 presented.
