It's a Harley Panhead engine that was made from 1948-1965. The rear suspension looks to be rigid with telescoping front, making it a Hydra-Glide that was made from '49 to '57.

That would be awesome if it clamps directly to the rib without needed an adapter plate. Another AimPoint option is the T2/H2, but again it would be important to know how it’s going to mount. I’m not a fan of adapter plates.

Does this have the set trigger option? Is the safety forward to fire or rear to fire? LOP? Weight with/without scope? What brand are the scope rings and are they QD? Barrel length? Picture of the bolt face would be great. Pictures of any dings or dents as well.

    Range finding binos

We bought our current RF binos in 2020 and have seen no degradation in the capabilities or optical performance. They have been dropped a few times from waist height onto dirt, grass and other (mostly) soft surfaces. Used on countless hunts and all I’ve done is change the battery and keep the...

    Range finding binos

My wife and I spent a day at Euro Optic that included several hours in the parking lot at last light testing optics. Without exaggeration, we probably had $30K worth of glass out there. What we learned is that the big three (Leica, Swaro and Zeiss) are at the top for a reason, of course their...

Here is where the .405 Winchester would be minimum, but welcome!

Which is what a .400+ caliber bullet should be starting at. With the possible exception of the rifle built by @comen, there are too many modern .400 caliber options that far exceed the ballistic capabilities of the 405WIN in every aspect. There is a reason it was considered obsolete just 30...

Here is where the .405 Winchester would be minimum, but welcome!

That is a good combo. Are you able to achieve that velocity and still stay under the maximum pressure of 46,000 psi or are you just looking for signs of overpressure? Most people using a 405WIN are doing so with a lever action rifle rather than your (much stronger) P14. And let’s not forget...

    25-06 or 257 Wby?

@axel2010 - The animal you are harvesting will not know the difference between the 25-06 and 257WBY. What you will notice is the added muzzle blast and recoil with the WBY cartridge. Your call if you want the benefit of the added velocity to deal with these. Plus, if you are converting a rifle...
