Mark that stock will finish out quite nicely. I would love to finish it out but don't have a M70 that isn't already in a nice piece of timber.

Old thread but like the way that buff boss looks as a grip cap. I also like @Tintin way of keeping fingers from having contours cut in them.

I owned a alaskan at one point but really wanted the African. The african has a barrel band sling mount and I like the rear sight base better from the way it looks. Sold the alaskan but never bought the african as I ran into a good deal fro a chapuis double in 375H&H.

The old model 70's just seem to fit in this is a "proper rifle category. " Had a 300 H&H a number of years ago but gave it to a buddy that was going through hard times. Since I just seem to be a day late and 100 bucks short on a 300 or 375.

I like both, kinda a day and night version.

Both barrels are right hand rifled. No sure one your two last questions.

These are a nice robust double. If I didn’t already have a 9.3x74’s in a SxS chapuis and O/U Zoli I would be making an offer. Someone needs to jump on this deal.
