7RM will do the job. I killed my only Eland thus far in 2023 with my .30-06 with 180g Partitions, so a 7RM will do much the same. Your choice of the Barnes TSX sounds perfect. I’d have suggested that, or a heavy for caliber Partition, A-Frame, or North Fork.

I’ve used 175 Partitions in my 7RM with excellent results. Sable, Kudu, Gemsbok, and more. Excellent penetration and I’d gladly use them again on my next Safari. I achieved excellent accuracy with that bullet in front of a near-max load of Reloader 22.

If taking my 6.5 CM, I’d use whatever shot the best of the following…. 140 Partition, A-Frame, or Accubond, 127 LRX, or 120 CX. Any of those should work well if placed in the right spot.

I’d love to see the RSMs come back. I’d be willing to buy both a .416 Rigby and a .404 if they’d make them. If we are dealing with today’s models, I’d buy Hawkeye Africans in 9.3x62 and .275 Rigby if they’d make more. Preferably with upgraded walnut.
