I suppose more choice is never a bad thing. For fellas who find rifles with scope & irons inferior or less attractive I guess its a good buy.

I'd favour something that can stretch its legs personally (Voted 300WM) however for a classic rifle it seems a bit of a sin to not include Irons. Perhaps if it comes at a good cost savings, but if cost is a concern I'm not sure if a Rigby is what a fella is looking at anyways

Id only used buffalo bores +p as a figure for modern loadings. I reload for something like 20 cals including regulating my own double rifle loads. Id be inclined to run brass solids or perhaps something from North Fork

how was your success on Buff with 45-70? what was ypur loading?
