recently acquired 2 purpose built safari guns in left hand bolt configuration. Purchased for a price so low it feels like I stole them. They both came with Swarovski LPVO's. I'm wondering if anyone knows how rare these really are? Not much about them online in LH specifically. It doesnt seem the M70 waa offered for very long especially. Over the moon to have lefty rifles as my bolt actions now are all RH

As a fellow lefty they don’t seem to last long and some deals can be had if you catch them early. But it’s hard to find them in DG calibers.

Congrats! Pics and details please. I'm a lefty and happy to have my share but it took many a year and good fortune to find.

My wife and youngest kid are lefties. I debate over whether I should buy a leftie rifle just for them.
in a world built for people unlike me, lefty knives (CRK, Xm18 etc) lefty rifles and lefty pens are something that are incredibly satisfying to use. Id definitely get one and then try to run it quick as a right handed person. Now imagine 90% of all rifles are that way. Shooting many semis is awesome too. Who doesnt love eating brass?

My main hunting partner (besides my son) is a lefty.

He was able to find a Sako in .375 H&H and we special ordered a Heym 88b in .470 NE.

He found a Weatherby .460 WBY, but sold it because of the obnoxious factory muzzle break.

The only LH CZ he owns is a rimfire.

Neither of us have even seen a LH CZ 550.

My wife and I are both lefties. I've spent a lifetime of acquiring lefty guns.

I'd say where the quarry pursued doesn't need a fast reload, LH rifles aren't worth it. Anything you'd use for DG, from 9.3x62 up, the calculus changes.

Or go with a Ruger #1, which is what I bought for my wife in 375 H&H.

yeah my main rifle is an M77 in 458 WM now for bumming around in Grizzly Country. otherwise I'm ok with right hand. My Heym is extraordinary and a lefty for whitetail too. The problem really is that I love all rifles and as a collector don't really care if theyre left or right handed, however for DG Ill stick to LH if I can find them

LH Winchester Safari Express rifles in 375 H&H have skyrocketed in price over the last few years from what I've seen. I feel lucky I was able to buy mine for $1,900 at the end of '23. They can still be found but the price is considerably higher. One sold in the classifieds here last year for $3,900.

All of my bolt actions are left-handed. I really don't like right-handed rifles. Most of my rifles are single-shot falling-blocks (including my Winchester 1885 Safari Octagon also in 375 H&H).

Don't be hooked only on your selections. Consider the Blaser; or the 375 Ruger that is arguably a better performing round and there are lots of them available in left hand. Other than that, the custom rifle route is about it

have a 375 Ruger, & an M77 lefty in 458 WM, they're ok but i prefer the M70 and the CZ actions to be honest

Not alot if the DG calibers to be found in LH model 70s and CZ550s. Winchester only ever made 375 H&Hs from the factory. Anything bigger came from the custom shop or was built on another action aftermarket. I have spent lots of time and dollars putting together a group of left handed model 70s. I have had several LH CZ 550s and eventually sold them all in favor of the model 70s. They are rare and expensive. Sounds like you got a great deal in the 2 you got. Congrats.

Do you mind me asking what auction you are referencing? I'm not in the market for any of those rifles...just curious.

Good morning from Montana.

I'm looking at a post from 2018 where you were looking for a lefty Winchester in .375 H&H Magnum. I'm selling mine. My email is [redacted] in the event that you're still searching for a unicorn.

Best,

Kelly Palmer
Gents, if you book and pay your deposit before the end of this year , you can have the bigger cull package for the 2026 price! https://www.africahunting.com/threa...griffiths-safaris-starting-at-us-2-560.96285/
