Dave, My drilling is a Sauer 3000 in 16/16/7x65R with 2.5x8 Leupold & Krieghoff 22 insert. I also have a Hannes Kipplinger bolt gun in 7x64. Both are excellent cartridges. I believe that the 140 gr is good for deer, hogs, & black bear. The 175 would be good for moose & elk size animals.

LoadData has several loads that are in the 2450 fps range and of course, not with fast burning powders. Considering the rifle age and weight, I would be inclined to load down from those velocities.

Joel, Any idea where one can get ammo for your 7x75 SEVH or even reloading dies? It seems like an interesting cartridge if ammo is.

Nice looking post war drilling. The 7x75 SEVH is an interesting, high velocity round for a drilling. Looks like the chokes are full and extra full which I undersand was common for pre-war German & Austrian shotguns as the normal target was hares.

FYI: The Model 40 is an excellent deer/hog hunting pistol. Considereing the included ammo, this is almost a free pistol. I have a Glock 40 so I am not interested in this pistol. IMHO, whoever buys this pistol should put a red dot on it if they plan to use it for hunting.
