Beautiful Springer DR and an excellent cartridge, quite capable of taking anything in the USA.

Flbt, Thanks for posting. It has certainly recieved interesting comments. The shotgun is merely a 2nd class, black powder hammer gun that isn't in pristine condition that was retailed by H&H..

It is quite possible that the gun was actually made by Scott or Webley and retailed by H&H. $18k is a high price for a shotgun, even if marked H&H.

Catahoula: Nice choice of calibers. Odensraven: Your 375 Win is a great caliber for deer & black bear. More manigable than the 375 JDJ and great penetration with the 235 gr bullet. FYI: I believe that the SS contenders are not SS but chromed steel. At least the JDJs that I had were...
