I enjoy my 6.5prc. Driving a 156 Berger at 2950fps at the muzzle. That being said. It doesn’t do any thing a host of other similar calibers will do. Mine is pretty accurate. Do not regret getting it at all.

I noticed with global rescue. They cover search and rescue , evac etc if you call them first. But say you are incapacitated and local SAR comes and gets you from a remote mountain. It appears they do not cover that. Is there any insurance that does and what is recommended?

I don’t see why you would have an issue. I have a 6.5prc and it does well with a 127 lrx. Personally I would take a 30cal. But the 6.5 with the 127lrx and properly place shots will do just fine How far do you anticipate shooting ?

That is correct. I put 8ft in the original post. It is 9ft. My mistake. I can take any other detailed pics you would like. The guides and rods appear to be in good shape to me.
