Those old hammer guns are fun shooters. I have an early J.P Sauer drilling that's 16 gauge over 9.3x72 that is a hoot to shoot. It still has the 2.5" chambers. I've taken it on our yearly pheasant hunt the last two years.

Those spears are tempting. I could run around town with my loin cloth with my adopted African son and nobody would bat an eye! Doing the Hooga Ooogga Booogga dance!

Very nice example. I love the octagonal barrel Mausers. I've got a fully octagonal 8mm in a M88 fully engraved. Love the old German guns.
