"There are few sounds in Africa as awe-inspiring as the roar of a lion. This lion started roaring just before sunrise towards the end of our last safari of the season. We had a pretty good idea which valley he was in and took off in the general direction, as soon as we pinpointed his location we left the truck at first light and slowly stalked him, following his roars. The whole experience somehow reminded me of hunting Red Stag during the roar, the stakes just being a whole lot higher in this case! We spotted him about the same time he saw us and my client pulled off an incredible shot seconds before the big cat disappeared. What a way to end an incredible season of cat hunting in the Kilombero Valley!"
