A lot of people just love them. I have one, the older version, that I'd definitely call a "gun cleaning stand".

I'm not super crazy about them, but it might be personal preferences.

What I do like, is this Chinese knock-off of a $1000+ German Optics Collimator jig. This is what I use when I'm bore sighting, installing optics, or doing cleaning chores. I like the three points of hold on a stock with the velcro strap down keeping it in place in the middle, the cleaning/parts tray, and that it slides back and forth to ensure good overall length. Then, after centered and leveled, there are four adjustable feet to ensure that all axis are level when dealing with optics situations. I keep it all mounted on an old black and decker workmate folding bench I got as a kid.

And, maybe its my naive preference for traditional materials, its made of metal.

Let us know what u think about it. I figure its going to be really nice!

I got it today. Looks as pictured. Just heavy enough for rifles. Good skid free footings. I think it will work good. Havent used it yet. Paid 129 ffg or it. It should come down in price during Black Friday time.

Good deal I know the older one I have only clamps on one side. This makes it hard to get the gun level for scope mounting. The one you have with clamps on each side looks much more functional.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.
