Walkingprey2, That is pretty much what my hunting partner Bruce and I have decided on doing. Just having them dipped and packed and shipped back home to have the work done here. There are several taxidermists within 2hrs of my home that do great work on African animals.

Another vote for the Pelican 1750, that is what I used in Sept 2012. I cut the foam to fit the 1 rifle I was taking, a spot for the bolt and my bino's. The case took a beating but my rifle and scope were fine. I would not hesitate to use a 1750 case.

Yes, it really does suck for the vendors that rely on this for their livelyhood. I do believe that gun owners here in the US are finally fed up with the assault by the government on our right to bear arms. This boycott has taken on a life of its own and is getting bigger by the day.
