Thank you. It's taken me some time to work up the courage to begin writing this up. I've been blessed to have taken several on their first trips too. It's the next best thing to having a "first" experience all over again. I enjoy sharing those moments...making memories with those we love.

That .280 has served me well, and has accounted for a lot of animals for us over the years. Stay tuned...she shines well with those copper bullets. I'll never shoot anything else after what was demonstrated to us in Africa!

Don’t worry about the 140 gr TSX. My wife , dad and I have killed over 40 animals with our .280 using the 140 gr TSX. Tape them together and fill them with glue from a hot glue gun. Excess comes off easy and they will hold together. I’ve done this with tusks from local feral pigs.

I’ve hunted with Somerby 3 times. Planning 4th trip now for 2021. Brought my dad to RSA on second trip and wife on 3rd to remote camp in Zimbabwe. All were great trips. If you have specific questions I’d be happy to answer them. They run a smooth operation.
