    The Big Bore Dilemma

I’m sure a 375 h&h will do the job, but hunting elephant or buffalo is not just about efficiency. At least for me, there is something special about hunting in Africa carrying a big double rifle. If had to shoot buffalo or elephant with a scoped 375, I would choose other game.

What was the most challenging animal you've ever hunted?

Brown bear in Alaska Peninsula. The problem was the weather. Lots of rain. I shot the bear on the last day

Help Deciding on Double Rifle Chambering

I’ve hunted with a 450NE twice and own a .500NE, wich I took in 5 five hunts. The 450 is a great gun, but the 500 puts the animals down quickly. More recoil for sure, but I prefer the .500.

Where to hunt BIG Cape buffalo free range?

If price is an issue, zimbabwe is hard to beat. And the hunt is wild for sure. I shot a +40 buffalo in the Zambezi valley in 2014. If price is not a problem, then Tanzania is the way to go. I cannot talk about other countries.

Mark Sullivan shows us how to handle a Double Rifle

Mark Sullivan is a great person. Because of him I started hunting in Africa and have a double rifle. We hunted together 3 times and I’m glad for that. Double rifle makers should thank him every single day. He is an extraordinary salesman and I think that can confuse people a bit. But, talking...

Is Solid bullets the way to go in a .375 ?

Sorry. Break away I got from the swift bullet. I’m talking about those solids which supposedly create a wound channel bigger than an ordinary full metal bullet. English is not my first language

Is Solid bullets the way to go in a .375 ?

And talking about solids for elephant, hippo in a 375 H&H. Full metal jacket or break away bullets, like swift break away, woodleigh hydro, or cup point solid (north folk)?

How many countries offer the truly wild African hunting experience

I’ve hunted in Tanzania and Zimbabwe. In both countries you can find wild hunts. I mean the places are unfenced and the game can go anywhere. But you have a lot of confortable, too. I like that. If you want real wild places, just a tent and a rifle, bad food, rain, being miserable for 10-14...
