Yes, Edward. If I wrote it, that's what I said, and that's what I use. Lightly spray onto clean, white towel, and go over the mount with the direction of the hair/fur.
You can have her walking or standing on a rock, with her head lowered to put her gaze eye-to-eye with yours.
A more aggressive facial expression can be used if that is your wish. In this type of stance, she can be mounted with "the stare" right at your eye level.
We can also go through my...

I hate to tell you this, but I must make this correct. That is NOT Carl Akeley. It is, in fact, James Lippett Clark, assisted here by Gardell Christensen. James Clark was trained by Akeley in the "Akeley Method" and became more than adept at it.
I've seen those, and the last picture is so very moving. Not only has the young Impala rested it's head into the Cheetahs, but the Cheetah is actually rubbing on the head of its intended - perhaps future? - prey. Thanks for posting them!
John.
In Remembrance Of Those Who Fell...
I took this photo - this is a compilation, actually ... the area was too wide to capture in just one frame - in February 2002. See the tallest, narrow building in the distance, still shrouded in smoke and dust in the picture? Well, just beyond that is where...
Taken by Jay Skrabacz, October 2010, this beautiful buck's short, early season coat of hair, shows every bit of detail possible. I explained he must have been a scrapper, as he was loaded with scars from doing battle. Jay then explained to me, as he was drawing down on this trophy, another...
Actually, it is what a Taxidermy mannikin in action should look like!:loco:
Another "right place - right time" shot! Fantastic stuff! Thanks Jerome!
John.
In all honesty ... that "Black Leopard" looks more like a reproduction than an actual piece of Taxidermy. This is just my opinion, but after 43 years in Taxidermy there are certain things to look for. One are the whisker roots, which are apparently lacking on this cats face and the apparent...
The Fantastic Mr. Fox!
I nicknamed this big fella ... "Lucky" He came to me after being taken out for killing chickens. That's when his luck ran out!
While he lived, he survived quite a bit. He had severe damage to his left eye, including a tear through his lower lid which ran...
Big, Beautiful Striped Girl!
This is a Zebra mare I recently completed and finished.
This beauty was taken by Brian Drake, and was part of two-day seminar I gave on mounting the Zebra. Congrats, Brian ... on a beautiful mare!

This is the horror being inflicted on these magnificent, prehistoric beasts ...
THIS IS WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE!
Something has gotta give here ... some action must be taken. This is black eye to the entire Hunting industry, that the leaders of the countries or areas involved turn a blind...
Unfreakingbelieveable! 31 Rhinos cut down by cowards who don't have the balls to get close to them but from an aircraft? Someone is definitely "looking the other way" ... there cannot be any other explanation for such slaughter! Selfish, arrogant, ignorant bastards ... that's what they are...
Rats!
Thought I found this beast when he was alive ... but alas! He's big all right, just not big enough!
I keep searching my files ...
Good hunting!

Africa Hunting Gazette
While I appreciate your magazine very much, I appreciate even more announcing the name change here!
I currently buy my copies at Barnes & Noble, and if I hadn't read about the name change, I might not have picked the current issue up! There was no way to look inside...
Looks like that's my cue ... what is needed to relax those wooden African hides ;) ... is a good commercial relaxing agent. Bruce Rittel used to sell all this stuff but has sold out to another company that I have not heard a lot of good as far as carrying things and back ordering most items...
Jerome, I hope you don't mind, but I took the liberty of performing a little digital magic, and lightened and cropped the image of the most unbelievable Buff I think I have ever seen in recent times! I have only ever seen Buffalo of this magnitude in vintage hunting photos, such as those that...
I'll tell you ... when I first saw the mount, these two pictures flashed into my mind. The male looks real close to the male in these two pictures! The expression on the male in the first photo is like: "What!"
The lioness in the mount looks like a reverse image of the gal in this...
