Good to know on the battery compartment...i wonder if the VX 6 Gen 2s are the same? i would assume so and i have one but didnt realize there was a special tool with it. Ill have to check
I use this with my 300 PRC. Lays flat in the case and protects the scope and muzzle. However, if one has a nice stock or wood to also protect, a full soft case would be the way to go...
I use a Nanuk for traveling with my rifles. The latches are so nice...almost hydraulic like when closing them. Ive had them up in Alaska barren land, on boats traveling for moose hunts, and in the desert on hunts...zero issues

Hi everyone, just wanted to let you know Found a scope and wanted to pass on a good deal at Not Just Guns. $770 when you add it to your cart

Yeah I’m thinking about that but thought I’d reach out here first. Now that they have the Gen 2 out the Gen 1 is no longer being produced so that could be the reason they are on sale…gen 2 is more expensive as well
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for this scope for 375 H&H, preferably used. I noticed that NJG is selling them new for $770, which I might pull the trigger on, but I wanted to check here first in case anyone is looking to sell theirs. Appreciate it
Oh man tell me about it…I’m a native Montana from Helena and moved here before the boom…just got to hang on until the kiddos graduate and then we are off to a smaller town. Yeah the flathead has grown a ton too, w scone up every spring for sports and it grows every year
oh man if you have 3 weeks you can do it proper! A lot of these outfits offer hunting and photo and game drive safaris, excursions to Kruger, cultural excursions etc. you name it.
Here’s a link to the thread I posted a couple weeks ago. Lots of good people and outfitters ended up reaching out directly to me

Where in Montana,? I’m also from Montana and planning my first one as well and initially had those same feelings of being overwhelmed but it becomes a great and fun process. You will field a bunch of proposals from different outfitters on this platform and then just do some Research on each of...
Yeah good call on all of those. I ended up finding a pre 64 earlier today that is all original minus original but pad and missing the front hood. In really good shape for $1800. I think it was a good value for what I’m looking for and wanting to do
Thanks for the tip! just called them and they have them priced at $4500 and $6000. A little more than im wanting to spend on a shooter, but again thanks for the info
You cerakoted a pre 64! shoot me a picture of that build
I may end up buying my buddies but he wants $2500 for it which I think may be on the high end for a shooter rifle. Whatever rifle i end up getting, I want to put EAW pivot mounts on it and possibly a barrel band and rear sight. It would...
I reached out to the seller about the rifle a couple of days ago. He mentioned that he couldn't send pictures of the bore and would only accept offers within 10% of the asking price...anyone know anything about this seller barrybrowning?
My buddies and I handload, so it's a possibility. I think right now I'm still pretty set on a .375 H&H, but I'll let you know if that changes. I appreciate you reaching out!
Yes, I have already reached out to them. I will probably end up sending whatever rifle I purchase to them for the installation of the EAW mounts, possibly a barrel band, and a rear sight. I'm considering the Wisner 458RS, but I'm not sure if it will work with the .375 H&H contours. If it...
Thank you, fellas! That's exactly what I was wondering, and I knew I could get the information I needed here. I suppose I’ll have to accept the front swivel on the stock if I want a pre-64 model, or I could look for a post-64 safari model in .375. 1990s safari or early 2000s possibly
Yes I have some pre 64s in a 243, 257 rob, and 264…all shooters and still hunt with them.
The 375 is a new animal to me though. My buddy has a pre 64 he would sell me for $2500, also a shooter, but it’s just a standard model. I may do that but I was hoping to find a safari version with the front...
Looking to purchase a good pre 64 model 70. Preferably, the African/Safari version, production beginning in 1956 as they moved the front sling stud to the barrel and i like the rear sight on these. Would like the Control Round Feed and Extractor. Not sure the value of these currently and if...
