Probably my second favourate animal to hunt (warthog being the first - dont ask I dont know why)
But every Giraffe I have taken has been a very memorable hunt !
Parker Hale are some of the most underrated rifles available - I have a modest collection (20) of them very accuracte and proper CRF - should sell for 2x what they do on value however - everyone wants creedmoor - However their Safari calibres sell very very well I have noticed !
No idea not mine but one sold so far as you will discover 50 percent import charges may restrict the guns arriving - just saying ! I only export to USA antique guns less paperwork and BS - though I might start on Safari rifles as prices seem sometimes OK !
I just hit the cash machines @ the Casino in PE - draw 2/3 the trip plus tips and pay with that- cash works - problem is to convert foreign currency - they have to pay tax on it unless they use it black - have asked my regular PH's said rand in large bundles - also have converted GBP into chips...
Spotted a couple of "deals" at simpsons
https://simpsonltd.com/cz-550-american-z77115/ as 50 percent import tax will kinda prevent these turning up
https://simpsonltd.com/cz-550-z77113/ needs a stock perhaps ?
https://simpsonltd.com/winchester-70-african-z77120/ seems to be about market...
Nice find—enjoy!
Unfortunately, many of these rifles cannot be imported to the USA due to the stripper clip cutout, which defines them as Milsurp sporterised rifles, which are banned!
I have never taken an elephant - but as Doctari comments in his book he culled 650 buff with a 9.3x62 - so effective yes - optimal nope - but you pays your money and takes your choice !
Been keeping an eye out on SimsonsLtd not much in Safari rifles - except for this
Pre 64 Supergrade in 458 Win mag - org finish by the looks of it

Just got the sad news Kynoch has ceased trading due to the retirement of the owners.
so there goes my 333 Jeffery rimmed build !
- luckly I put by a couple of years ago enough ammo to see out my hunting days!
Amazing calibre - I did have a Mauser 66 in 8x68 and 9.3x64 - the 8x68 I have hunted Africa with took everything from Springbok to Giraffe - choice of bullets getting better to be honest - basically you have a 8mm rem mag without the hassle of brass !

seems insane but again left handed people seem to not be able to find their pockets - begging to be a 458 lott !
Recently reduced mine to three 303 404 and 505.....as my hunting rifles
Then have 318wr double and 470NE double
Then
My fun rifles Baikal doubles a few Baikal SB a few
WW2 and before not scope of this post but perhaps ....a lot of fully auto ....relax my American friends in Europe we can own...
Yes my ex gf took 40 cull animals on a trip with one .....everything died 175gr ppu sp ....
The calibre hits a sweet spot ...even dropped blue wildebeest and Zebra with ease....
375 Ruger solves a problem that does not exist.
375h&h lower pressure....ammo availability world wide...wider choice of ammo manufacturers....I could go on but think that would be sufficient
Trade in firearms as a side Hussle ...like 30 a month ..every month ....have a small manufacturing business ....flip the odd car ...drive 12 yo car myself ...etc etc get to go to Africa most years is a 24/7 Hussle ..also organize trips to Africa and beyond
A little bit less that a 318 WR or 333 Jeffery Rimmed - or rimless - so usual suspects - I have hunted with a 318WR and taken plainsgame from springbok thru blue wildebeest - would I take a body shot with on on a giraffe - yep if it was the gun in my hand and did have solids - Did put a second...
There is an excellent article
https://www.africahunting.com/threads/rifle-lessons-learned-from-the-zimbabwe-professional-hunter-proficiency-exam.2604/
Suggests the problems etc
waiting on a 7x57 - the barrel of which is trashed - however - if it does not shoot well - thinking of a re-barrel to 333R Jeffery just for something completely different !
Sadly things change - its a complicated subject - usually Mericans expect them to me mailed the next week after payment - usual export outside of EU is 3-6 months - with associated storage charges and fees. Buddies of mine on here have come to me - I have a problem - happens it is expensive...
I have no idea shoot 470NE 404J and 505 Gibbs - I purchase Kynoch from the factory - I live on ramen noodles - it is a life choice -I have learned to love them - please don't mention this subject AGAIN
This seems fair for a CZ550 in 416 Rigby - stock looks a little interesting

Interesting to see where it ends up !
Have been advised it might be a scam - we do not have these in Europe - leaving it up to remind people - however if you contact proceed...
Be careful France is very hard to get firearms exported from esp to the USA - Been there done that - my current record is 5 years and we ain't done yet !
NZ or Auz or indeed Russia - plenty of farming opportunities there esp if you have capital - a lot of RSA farmers moved there a few years ago -
Also Eastern Europe Hungary or Czech / Slovakia are decent
Have a roe buck on the wall above my head as I type this - I did not hunt it - saw it for sale and had to have it a beautiful mount - I have culled several 100 roe over decades - never thought about getting one mounted until I saw this chap - So go for it I say !
