Looking back on it, the offered price was crazy low. I did not care for the plaque on the stock, but for a collector it may be seen as a plus.

They are a fairly small shop and don’t produce a lot of dies to have in inventory. Their niche has been wildcat and uncommon calibers built as ordered.

I have seen that rifle listed somewhere before as well. Alas, my brain grows weary as to where.

I don’t think it is much of a concern. If it would make you feel better, you may want to get some tightbond lll and brush a light coat on the area.

Man, I am not a taxidermist but I would get after it with a shop-vac (reversed). Certainly would not use heat. Wait for taxidermists to tell me I am wrong---and go with their advice.

I was leaning that way for a brief moment. By the time I removed the brass and replaced the recoil pad (with thicker), LOP would still be a tad short.

I recall the 378 Weatherby was around prior to the 460. The 460 is based off of the 378. I think the 378 brass is a little bit different than the Rigby, but close. I bet it would work, but then you have head stamp issues if traveling.

The most common flavor is based on the .460 Weatherby.

I have not hunted the .550. It is on the CZ-550 Action. Don't know if I will take the .550 over next trek as I am thinking of a one rifle trip with my Heym .404. I have killed with an AHR in .458 Lott and if you aren't used to the true big boys, one of Wayne's Rifles in .404, .416 or .458...

Interesting. I have quite a few AHRs and the only one I have ever seen with a brass spacer was (I think) the .700 listed above. The rifle in the video has a similar spacer. I have seen several Overkills and, again, this is the first one seen with brass. Somehow I missed the brass era. :-)

As stated. SOCOM or midnight are the two my guy uses. He showed me a shotgun he did in midnight blue and I would have bet it was blued from 3 feet away.

Yup. Turkish this last trip. Delta has been out for seemingly a couple years.

I never hunted with the VLDs, but my rifle loved the 155s. :-). Shoots effectively the same with the accubond.
