All other things being equal (they're not, cartridge availability most notably) if I'm looking at two functionally identical cartridges I would always go for the larger case, as it will generate less pressure. Especially at higher temperatures.

TLMrs has a Buckmark, I like the Ruger better, but the controls on the Buckmark are more relatable to other autopistols.

I have a Ruger Mk 1 that I bought around 80-81. It is FIERCELY accurate. Much more so and more reliable than my Kimber .22 conversion kit for my 1911.
