The recoil reducer will not magically eliminate recoil. An extra pound, in the form of an easy to install rr will help reduce felt recoil. (ex: from ~90ftlb to ~81) A good pad can also help. Be mindful of keeping the rifle in balance..

Also, was impressed with a Savage Ultralite in 28 Nosler. Carbon barrel, Very accurate - hated the trigger, so I upgraded that. Really impressive for a thousand dollar rifle. Enough recoil to make you use the brake while sighting in. Not so much to need it while hunting.

Be aware some jurisdictions may not allow FMJ, or in some cases, solids. However, had great success loading CEB solids for 6.5 and 300. Very accurate, deadly on the tiny antelope. Very close poi to softs.
