Hey Blacks. You pick your Swede up from Kincraig’s back when you were in Naracoorte Bloke?

Swedish Mauser 6.5x55 Carl Gustafson action, is it good? What caliber build?

Sorry I have no answers as I’m no Smith/machinist. I take it you’re doing the work yourself (?) Personally I would entrust the job to a Smith with a suitable reamer. You have my admiration if you’ve the skills for such an undertaking. Kind regs, Simon.

Nice! They really are quite a passion for you then. They’ve become quite expensive here in Australia.....is this the case in the States too? Cheers for the tip on Buff too! I’ll look him up.

Sarge, what powder are you using with the 155-160gr projes? I’d always favoured ADI AR2213 (now slightly slower SC) a little compressed.

Can’t answer to pressure Gert but cool to hear your running with the 6.5 as nature intended...(haha!) Truly a remarkable caliber. Kind Regs, Simon.

    Cheers from Australia!

The African hunting scene is so far removed from my own. Here in South Australia, particularly the Southeast, we are limited to smaller pest animals. There are growing numbers of deer here (Fallow and Red predominately) but getting permission to hunt them on farm property can be problematic. A...

    Smith & Wesson 686 Revolver

Not sure about the current manufactured 686 but S&W did some quality revolvers over A LOT of years! 6” 686 you probably can’t go wrong! .357 is plenty versatile and a proven performer. This combination is an absolute mainstay in pistol clubs all over Australia. Here’s an abbreviated view of my...
