    on a lighter note...

My post driver weighs about 30 pounds. You don't have to it the post as many times. The other picture is of a Goldenrod fence stretcher. I have stretched miles of barbed wire with one. I have mine hanging next to my post driver.

    Thoughts on Craig Boddington?

For 20 years in the financial industry it was my job to collect bad debts. Several times these bad debts ended up with the customer taking bankruptcy, be it an individual or a very large corporation. I've gone through Chapter 7, Chapter 11 and Chapter 12 bankruptcies in my efforts to collect...

Can I Trust a Digital Orientation Tool Like an Online Compass for Accurate Hunting Navigation in the Field?

When using any type of phone app make sure it works in airplane mode or when you have zero cell phone signal. For land navigating I like redundancy. I carry a Suunto compass that can be configured for magnetic declination, paper maps if available for the area I'm in, a Garmin 700i GPS/inReach...

Large magnum rifle primers - brand preference?

I have used Federal Gold Medal Magnum Match 215 primers for several years now. I really like the consistency I've seen with velocity and SD across a wide spectrum of calibers and powders.

    Broadheads

Find a local pro shop who can guide you with your setup, get your bow tuned, offer shooting lessons, etc. I personally prefer fixed blade broadheads over mechanical on large animals such as elk, but that is just me.

Garmin inReach vs. Sat Phone ? Recommendations? Use will be Alaska, Remote Rockies, RSA and Botswana

I have used inReach for years. I have used the larger 700i GPS inReach for the past 5 years. I really like the tracking feature where my wife can see where I am at when I'm out in the mountains by myself. I also really like the weather forecasting ability for my specific location. For fun I...

Truck - what do you drive, and why?

I saw this thread and found all the comments interesting. I've owned three Dodge diesel pickups, a 1995 2500 4x4, a 2001 2500 4x4, and a 2008 3500 Quad Cab C&C DRW 4x4 with 9 foot flatbed. I sold the 2008 and just purchased a new Ford F-450 Crew Cab C&C DRW diesel 4x4 that will have a 11 foot...

    Moose Hunting 101

Thanks for this thread. I've been applying for a moose tag in Wyoming for almost 50 years with half as a resident when there were plenty of tags (pre wolf) and now as a nonresident with 21 points. As a resident I had friends draw 3 times to my zero. Thus I believe GilletteHunter has been...
