Maybe it's me: it seemed like he could have carved off a bit more distance? Unless the wind was an issue. Like others I think it was a shot placement issue. My 2 knew they were hit and died mighty fast. Maybe I just got lucky. :E Shrug:
With the right bullet and accepting you will have a reduced range? Hell yes! I believe it would be as fully capable as the .45-70 I have now used successfully twice.
I get the argument that it may somewhat increase risk, but frankly I think that can apply to hunters using "proper" calibers, if...
Yours looks fabulous sir. It is a very interesting gun, and were I in a different income bracket I would be interested. But I have a long-standing bucket list to attend to.

Not begrudging the seller his price at all, but for that amount there a great many other guns that have my name on them, such as a Winchester Model 71 or a 99 in a harder to find caliber, or a BLR in .300 WM with a pistol grip.
I would sure like to believe that's true, but my optimism is not as high as yours. I'm not sure that anything truly penetrates that incredible denseness that is Trump's ego.
