Issues with the Artistry of Wildlife

It seems strange that someone who had as much time to post up pics of their work on an Internet forum in an effort to drum up business has (had?) such a hard time finding time to respond to customer’s direct communications. It appears this was an issue before the health issues.

COVID-19 Coronavirus UPDATES, BANS, CLOSURES, ADVISORY, etc.

Yeah, I hated those close quarters before this. Now? Ugh. People on the whole are generally nasty, even when they don’t have a virus.

COVID-19 Coronavirus UPDATES, BANS, CLOSURES, ADVISORY, etc.

Oh well, I’m not sure what the answer is. I don’t condone the drastic measures that have been taken in some places, but the dreaded social media aside, there’s something to it when refrigerated trucks are being hauled in to store bodies because people are dying so fast. You have the liberal...

COVID-19 Coronavirus UPDATES, BANS, CLOSURES, ADVISORY, etc.

Well, you’re the one that brought SARS up. As far as social media, there was plenty of that and 24 hour news coverage around during the Ebola outbreak. I can’t tell that it had a lot of effect on any actions that were taken. I think social media is just the go to phrase now when something is...

COVID-19 Coronavirus UPDATES, BANS, CLOSURES, ADVISORY, etc.

8000 cases worldwide. Not exactly apples to oranges.

COVID-19 Coronavirus UPDATES, BANS, CLOSURES, ADVISORY, etc.

Well, I just found this thread. Haven’t been on here in awhile. It’s an interesting read, going all the way back to when this first started to now, reading the comments, seeing how some people’s views have changed, others wouldn’t change their views no matter what stance they took at the...

What was your impression of South Africa when you visited?

My first thought leaving the airport at night was that I hope to hell we don't break down here. Paper and trash on the streets, listless groups of neer' do wells walking the streets, bars over windows and doors. In other words, kind of like being in any American city. Definitely some...

SOUTH AFRICA: 1st African Safari With Limcroma Safaris Beyond My Wildest Dreams

Looks like a great trip. I went to Limcroma last year, and hope to go back in 2017. Awesome place.

    Trophy Debate

I have a simple mind, so all of this seems simple to me. If the client had already seen other bulls that were larger, and knew what he was getting when he pulled the trigger, and it made him happy, then this qualifies as a trophy and he should pay full price. After all, he left happy. I would...

Hunting show host charged with poaching in Alaska

I think I'll wait to hear the non-USA Today version of the story. No doubt something's amiss, but that newspaper is a poor source of accurate information.

Dollar vs Rand: Impact on Trophy Prices and Daily Rates?

Interesting subject. As most hunts are booked far in advance, the deal for the outfitter could sweeten or sour, depending on the exchange rate. I wouldn't try to negotiate from an agreed upon price I booked at, but if someone else does and they get a better rate, more power to them.

Press statement on the illegal hunt of a collared lion in Hwange District on July 1, 2015

Lol, it only takes three people now to qualify as an "organized gang". Since one "absconded", I wonder if it's still organized. What a joke.

    24 Hours...Thank you to everyone

Lol, this week one year ago I began my first African hunt. I didn't hardly sleep the last night at home, on the plane, or the first two nights over there. Never got by that long on so little sleep, and never felt wider awake. Good luck!

    NAMIBIA: Omujeve Safaris

I left a book there last year by accident. Now I have an excuse to go back. "Honey, I know it's thousands of dollars, but I must get that $25 book back." Congrats to you and your daughter on a great hunt.

    Top 10 Plains Game Trophies

I went last year, and killed 2 impala, a gemsbok, and and a warthog. I was bowhunting, so I saw a lot more that could have been killed with a rifle. My top 10 that I haven't killed would be as follows. 1. Zebra 2. Kudu 3. Blue Wildebeest 4. Waterbuck 5. Blesbok 6. Nyala 7. Bushbuck 8. Red...
