Yes. I would bet that the steel scope rail would be the ticket. Murphy precision makes some very nice steel rails, just not sure if they do Weatherby or not.
I’ve been five times since 2018. Not going this year, but have been looking at options for the future. Whatever or wherever that is, a buffalo or two will be involved.
Why do you feel they made the 416 Wby throat so short, compared to the rest? I’m currently considering a DGR in 416 Wby just to try out. I’d probably hand load it to 416 Rigby pressures/velocity for ultimate reliability and shoot ability, so not sure how much the throat size matters on this...
