Definitely go with the 35 Whelen. I just got back from RSA last week using it, I and my PH was impressed with its performance. The rifle started life as a plain REM 78 sportsman in 270. New ER Shaw barrel and a new claro walnut stock.

I only live a few miles down the road from Midsouth. They have a great inventory, but are an online order type store. There is no showroom to visit. You can order and pick up at the front counter.

I don’t know about the process in Zim, but I just went through Joberg last week. I opened my case up and showed them the serial number, and they never touched them. As a side note I did have a pair of binoculars stolen from my case on the return trip.

BA in Nashville tried to change me for the rifle and the ammo box. I had printed out their policy and highlighted it. I pulled it out and they took off the extra charge.

It was an Rtic hard case. I duplicated taking the pins out and putting them back in , in just a few minutes they probably had practice and did it even quicker

I just got back last night and found a pair of binoculars gone from my gun case. It appears they opened it by driving out the hinge pins in the back. They stole the Lecias I was bringing back for my PH, but left my leupolds. I’m going to contact BH but will be surprised if they do anything about...

I know most recommend Trophy shippers or Coppersmith. I have tries contacting both via their website, and have not received a response. Is there another company you can recommend or tell me how to get in contact with the others?

I have a cz550fs in 308. It is a pretty good shooter, contrary to what I’ve heard about full stock rifles
