I run 400gr DGX, and 400gr Northforks SS in mine, both shoot well. IMR 4320 for the powder

I shoot 270gr interlocks loaded with IMR4350 in mine. Pretty accurate, made quick work of a moose last year with that load.

Right on! It’s a turkey hunters dream over there, saw all kinds of them.

I picked up this Nite MX10 a few years ago and it has held up well. Hunting in the snow and rain in the fall, below freezing temps trapping in the winter and fishing in the salt water during the summer.

What animals are you going after? For hunting stag you’ll want good rain gear and a warm base layer, I hunted in July and it was a mix of snow and rain at the lower elevations. For tahr on public land it’ll be cold up there, winter gear ( down jacket, good gloves, wool base layer, good gtx boots)

I hunted with that outfitter in 2024, the owners name is Sheldon. One of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet, and he’s a very experienced New Zealand hunter also. Had a blast with one of his guides, we hunted stag on private land and helicoptered for tahr on public.

Awesome, those tahr are fun to hunt up in the clouds. I made a trip there back in 2024, planning to go back next year.
