Beautiful rifle!! I love it. I was pondering building one someday, since I can’t find an original Schüler.

Talking with a friend last week building a couple of customer’s rifles, his main advice was to build the rifle to the brass. What brand are you using, he talked about a lot of variation in rim dimensions.

Who makes these now? I have some from the 20’s on DR’s, wouldn’t mind a modern rendition.

I’m sure there is some exception, possibly a Roll built rifle for instance, but almost or every(?) Mauser in 7x57 was built on an intermediate action.

I still prefer them original, but there is no mistaking that is a beautiful rifle, I love it. Neat to see the shroud modified like the originals to clear the receiver lug. Whose shroud is that by the way, I don’t recall seeing one quite like that?

Must be ebony, horn has a bit of a translucent look to it. Beautiful Mark X, best looking example I’ve seen!
