That sounds like a great little gun. These are pretty great doubles and they don’t usually go for a lot of money. Sure the forend a bit chunky and the stock could use a bit of work but they are very robust guns.

I think a well constructed bullet and shot placement are the most important part. Also keeping your shots at a reasonable range if say 300 yards is best with a lighter caliber. Elk are incredibly tough animals, but they are not armor plated and are killed with arrows every year.

You could have it counter bored possibly. They did it on a lot of surplus rifles and they shot much better.

I have a few double barrels, but I prefer my grandfathers old favorite, a Savage Fox Model. 12 gauge, 3in chambers, modified and full choked, with 30 inch barrels. It is a time tested bird killer.

Because I like this rifle so much. I went and pulled it out of the safe and stuck the old Lyman on it. The lines are just perfect with it. Nothing says Temu Highland Stalker like a Chinese SKS sling. I do think that they are fantastic and have them on everything :ROFLMAO:

Rj Renner. Buy a 7mm Mauser of your choice and send it off to him. This started life off as a bine stock Ruger M77 tang safety. Rj worked his magic on it. It is in 7x57 too.
