Why does Tikka persist in supplying rifles with plastic magazines?

Couldn’t have said it better. Longtime Tikka owner. Never have had an issue with their magazine. I have had issues with stamped metal magazines from other manufacturers.

    Safari Pants

For 100% cotton, I like these Carhartt pants. Lighter weight than their duck fabric, but tough enough for thorny brush. I haven’t bought the Bass Pro Redhead pants, but I’m a big fan of their rip stop cotton shirts. https://www.carhartt.com/product/102291/relaxed-straight-rigby-dungaree

I can’t speak to hunting options, but I lived in Perth for 7 months for school long ago. Being up in Karratha, you really should take time to see and experience Ningaloo Reef if you are up for snorkeling or scuba diving. East of where you’ll be you have the whole Kimberly region beginning in...

    Jim Green Boots

I have 3 pairs of Jim Green footwear now. I started with Barefoot African Troopers for my SA hunt this past year. I love them. Maybe not for everyone with no sole heal lift. Great foot articulation for quiet stalking. Great all day walking comfort. The single layer, unlined leather provides...

    7mm-08 -- the forgotten caliber

Not forgotten here either. Tikka T3x 7mm-08 is my go to rifle for deer, elk, and black bear. A versatile caliber across various bullet weights.

    Question from a first timer

Cold and flu medicine for sure. I always pack this when traveling internationally because the same medications often have different names in other countries. Add in a language barrier and a trip to a pharmacy gets fun. My wife got a bad cold on day 4 of our trip to SA this past June. She was in...
