This is so cruel. I wish I had never known the glory. I have a stash of old tungsten, bismuth, and heavinshot I’ll probably use this year. I have some tss left but not enough to make me feel good about things. If it ever comes back down I’m going to buy up a lifetime supply of the shot.

You should look at the South Africa hunts in the greater Kruger. The elephant are grossly overpopulated. The terrain is such that they can be spotted and stalked without many miles of tracking. In places like Zimbabwe the areas with the best terrain are parks or farms or something else...

I have enjoyed the in reach mini on trips to Zim and Argentina. I like that I have an independent way to communicate off grid. The plans are super affordable.

All of my friends have their 23 trophies back now. You probably need to check with your outfitter. I know loosing the exporter created a bottle neck even after trophies were released.

I did. I think a lot of it comes down to preference, but it’s a good looking rifle to me. It’s a proper rifle for an overseas hard use trip.

My friend just got one in .375H&H. I was impressed with the quality. Action was very smooth and fed great. We only had time to put a few rounds through it each. Hopefully he and I will connect for a range day soon and I can make a more informed post.

I don’t think that’s true at all regarding the .450/.400 having more commercial offerings. Hornady, nosler, and Norma have factory ammo. There are number of smaller semi custom ammo makers that load formative as well. As far as I know, hornady is the only one loading .450/.400. I’m sure...
