I have a stash of old tungsten, bismuth, and heavinshot I’ll probably use this year. I have some tss left but not enough to make me feel good about things.

You should look at the South Africa hunts in the greater Kruger.
The elephant are grossly overpopulated. The terrain is such that they can be spotted and stalked without many miles of tracking. In places like Zimbabwe the areas with the best terrain are parks or farms or something else...
I have enjoyed the in reach mini on trips to Zim and Argentina.

I don’t think that’s true at all regarding the .450/.400 having more commercial offerings.
Hornady, nosler, and Norma have factory ammo. There are number of smaller semi custom ammo makers that load formative as well.
As far as I know, hornady is the only one loading .450/.400. I’m sure...
