I have an Alaskan in .375 H&H, it weighs 9.0 lbs. With a Montana sling, Leupold 2.5-8x36 scope in Leupold QR rings. Weight will vary because of wood density.
I have a set of quick release mounts from Leupold, Scope is a 2.5-8x36 vx3. no complaints, it returns to zero fine. This is a Win. mod. 70 Alaskan in .375 H&h
I have a new model 70 Alaskan in .375. It is accurate, good looking, and functions fine. Mine wears a Leupold vx3 2.5-8 mounted on Leupold QR rings, they have been trouble free so far. My only complaint is that I would have liked a barrel mounted sling swivel.
Cut on contact 2 blade would be my choice. I use a broadhead called the Helix. It comes in weights from 100 grain to 225 gr. They are a single bevel 2 blade. Awesome penetration.
