    Car ownership experiences

Your your Zimbo buddy takes you for a 30 minute drive in a 110 at highway speeds, you jealousy will evaporate. Landy's are good at many things, however comfortable is not one of them

    Car ownership experiences

Many were converted to a small block chevy V8 too. You got more HP and less fuel consumption than the stock straight 6. The really early cruisers were three speed.

    Car ownership experiences

The early Land cruisers had the straight 6,early Hilux's a 2.0 petrol. You wouldn't get 5km in a cruiser without oil in it.

Shooting the Martini Henry Sportster .450/.577 and Mauser 1871 single shot black powder rifle

That's a new powder to me. I must read up on it. Re after range cleaning. I found a couple of nitro for black shots after a BP session were a great aid to bore cleaning. I used 11grn VV-110 in turned brass cases

45/70 lever action with a Hornady Interlock for Cape Buffalo

Is it not better,he uses a marginal Caliber he shoots well. Rather than a well suited Caliber he shoots marginally? As for the 223 debate. You wouldn't believe the hundreds of thousands of deer/pigs/goats that caliber has taken in NZ. * space reserved for someone inserting scenario of...

Shooting the Martini Henry Sportster .450/.577 and Mauser 1871 single shot black powder rifle

One of the biggest aids in Shooting your Martini well,is a Sutheland rear sight. A beautiful example of Victorian era machining, they are windage adjustable as well as elevating to a highly optimistic 1900yards. They also fit Sniders and Metfords without any modifications, simply drift out the...

Shooting the Martini Henry Sportster .450/.577 and Mauser 1871 single shot black powder rifle

I used to shoot my Martini Henry's alot. By far the best BP load in my experience for the Military Martinis is a 480grn .468" diameter bullet loaded far out in the case.Over 60 grn 2FG with the case void taken up by foam backer rod cut off at the top of the case neck. This load will shoot to...

    Politics

Personally I think America should link Alaska to Washington state via BC. It makes total sense to do so. I can imagine Vancouverites being somewhat in opposition to the idea, however most would be far to medicated / stoned to offer meaningful resistance. When Alberta joins the Union ,then...

    Historical double pricing

Your example of a best double rifle produced in the last 30 years, probably represents less than 1% of all double Rifles produced. It is pretty hard to say that double rifle values are going down the toilet based upon a single example. You are right though, those who have a recently produced...
