Bumped a leopard this weekend walking in Limpopo....only had my Glock 43 with me....was out and ready to roll for what it would have been worth. Luckily the leopard slunk away with no drama.
Lever guns are legal to own in SA and are actually easy to license as they classified as manually operated rifles.
Despite that they not very popular, I suspect the high prices are probably to blame.
Personally I have a very large itch for a 45-70...
Just returned from one of my annual biltong (meat and biltong) hunts at a property I have shares in in Rooiberg Limpopo.
Went for two days with the aim of getting as much meat as we could. Targets were Impala and Wildebeest.
Managed to shoot 3 Wildebeest and 3 impala between the two of us (...
Yea its basically non stop these days.....lots of us have solar and generators etc.
If they ever fix Eskom there won't be many customers left. TIA right :)
It really shouldn't affect your guys hunts much as most places will have backups.

Hunt often for meat in SA and dream one day of a nice Buffalo bull.
Have a variety of rifles from 22lr to 458lott.
