The .250 Savage is just an over fast 6.5 Grendel. Rather shoot the heavier slower bullets, I went down this route trying to find the ideal impala rifle and the .250 usually comes in barrel twists that do not work with the 120gr bullets. No problem with the Grendel.

People must realise that Africa has many different hunting terrains and a 375 may not be common in the area he is going to hunt. The owner and PH will suggest what they know. I would get a 7x64 setup right for longer shots (mainly a good scope). Load a 140gr mono bullet and you will do fine...

I stand up to pee, I shoot a 6.5x55 ;) But the 6.5 Creedmoor can pretty much match it with good bullets. Once the mindset of target bullets is dropped.

Shooting 140gr GameKings only do well in the damage department if the impacts are over 150m away. If you shoot anything closer it does make a mess.

Id be interesting in your results with the GameChanger tipped bullet. Target bullets for hunting is the downfall of the Creed like Mr Glass says. We hunt for meat so losing a large percentage of a small Springbuck is an issue.
