    Do I Really Need Binoculars?

I assume that is a joke and I agree with it's message. But that is actually one of the most awesome weapons systems in the US Army, an 82nd Airborne Division paratrooper rigged to jump. Awww, the memories.....:D, and my knees, hips and back!

Does anyone have a Merkel 141 Light Frame double?

I have one in 9.3x74R. It was my first double rifle and the only one I still have. I have taken quite a bit of game with it in the US as well as Africa. Very handy and comfortable to carry and it hits with authority, on both sides. I tamed it considerably by adding a nice recoil pad...

    EAW pivot mounts

@Hornedfroggbbq: Call JJ or Todd. They can take care of you. Depending on where you are in Texas, you can do a short road trip and drop them off at their shop. Safe shooting

The 375HH may not be "ALL THAT" for African Plains Game

If the bullet hits the vital zone on an animal, it will die. When and where it will decide to die is the big question for hunter's everywhere. Unfortunately, animals don't have access to ballistic charts, bullet performance ratings and the expertise on AH. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Since the animal...

.375 should be banned from buffalo hunts!

Wow! This thread will join some of the other legendary poo flinging threads! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Almost as entertaining as the political forum. For what it's worth, Kevin Robertson says the 375 H&H with a 350gr bullet is a great buffalo slayer. Safe hunting

    DFW trophy clearing

A couple weeks ago I got the DFW USDA shake down as well. I was stunned. We are getting charged for them to do their bloody job! My crate's initial point of entry was Atlanta. From what I understand, the USDA will be implementing this thievery at all points of entry. Safe hunting

TSX - You Can't Have It Both Ways!

If you recover the bullet, did it really fail or did it just not meet your expectations? Now when the bullet "fails" and the animal is not recovered, did the bullet fail or did the shooter fail to do his part? Do we really know who failed unless the animal is recovered? Personally, I prefer a...

    Macnab...

I love the book as well as the McNab challenge and all its variations. I did the Texas redneck version, the McBubba. A pig, a limit of dove and some bullfrogs all in the same day. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: Feel free to modify as needed for your area. Safe hunting

Mauser 98 and recknagle mount screw thread issues

The screws for the Recknagel and EAW mounts are some of the softest and easiest to strip or damage the heads of any other mounts I have experienced. I keep a small bag of spares that I bought from NECG for those “special filth uttering” moments. Safe hunting

    Near perfection in a .375 H&H?

Nothing wrong with a leather covered recoil pad. :D By the way, beautiful 375! Safe hunting

This is terrifying. I can’t switch to tea. Forget it.

I use the Chemex daily. We have been drinking a lot of castillo lavado that has extended fermentation times. It really improves the flavors. For the exotic varieties, I use a V60, V60 switch or V60 mugen. The lighter exotics such as the geisha or wush wush seem to be best with the mugen or...

This is terrifying. I can’t switch to tea. Forget it.

I remember. We have chatted a few times. I was with a group of cafeteros, baristas and catadores tasting and grading a bunch of Colombian coffees as well as coffees provided and shared from friends in other countries. There are a lot of great coffees out there. I have attended a lot of...
