    What camo pattern

I prefer plaid. If you want to wear camo, take the darker patterns. Also, it's not as big of a deal in RSA, but I wouldn't take military camo patterns to Africa.

What could you just not resist at DSC?

Stopped by the Kenetrek booth and got the ol lady fitted and ordered her a new pair of boots. Talked to lots of Alaska outfitters to start planning some trips up there.

    Cape Town hotel and sights

Contact Joe at Cape Town Hunting Safaris. He is a PH and tour guide in Cape Town, and usually has a booth at DSC. We decided to spend a few days there on our first trip to SA and booking with him was hands down the best decision we could have made. Table mountain, wine region, Cape Points...

Any hunts you wouldn’t do again?

Searching for less expensive Buffalo hunt

I agree with this. Instead of cheapening the hunt, just hunt species within your budget while you save up for the buff hunt. What is the craziest lengths you have went to in order to pay for a hunt?

I am in my 30s and returned a couple months ago from my second safari. All self funded, I do not come from money. I learned from an early age the value of hard work and wise spending. I currently work two jobs, drive a paid off truck, and most of our groceries we grow, raise, catch, or kill...
